Hester Kriele
General practitioner
In 2025, I graduated as a General Practitioner from Maastricht University. I was raised in the South of Limburg and have been happily living in Maastricht with my family since 2021.
I completed the final year of my GP training at this practice and have continued to work here with great enthusiasm ever since. In addition, I work as a locum GP in Maastricht and the surrounding region.
Prior to my GP training, I gained over five years of clinical experience across various specialties, including general surgery, otorhinolaryngology (ENT), and nursing home medicine.
My decision to pursue a career in general practice was strongly influenced by the opportunity to build long-term, personal relationships with patients, as well as by the broad scope and variety of the work. I highly value low key accessible care, personal attention, and healthcare that is tailored to the individual. Open and honest communication is essential to me, as it enables us to make well-informed decisions together.
Within general practice, I have a particular interest in dermatology, ENT problems, women’s health, minor surgical procedures, and providing care for (international) students.
