Henriëtte Swijgman

General practitioner

I was born in Maastricht in 1962 and raised in Brussel and Rotterdam. A general practitioner since 1994 and the practice Swijgman has been located in Maastricht centre since 1998 and is a real “city practice” now, small-scale and pleasant. In January 2024 practice Swijgman changed into practice Poort van Gaveren. Bjorn Bekkers, colleague GP, is co-owner now.

Until 2004, I was affilliated as a teacher in the Family Medicine department of the Medical Faculty I am now since then a GP educator. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are my workingdays. The first of July 2027 I am going to stop working as a GP in this practice.

I'm married and have two daughters and two grandsons.
